Dry Cotton Oilskin - Dark Indigo

Fabric is sold by the 1/2 yard (so 1 unit is 1/2 yard, 2 units is 1 yard, etc.).  Cut as one length.

This is the best quality dry oilskin, and made in the UK.  A beautiful dark indigo (nearly black), and made with organic cotton. The finish is drier and crisper than regular oilskins, and has a matte appearance. Unlike regular oilskin, there will be no oil transfer, so you don't need to line your garment or bag.  This type of oilskin is water-resistant (not waterproof).  Ideal for bags and accessories, and particularly good for our 137 Australian Drover's Coat.

• Inspired by a 1910 patent for waterproofing textiles, it is treated with an emulsified wax that is heat-processed into the cloth for a long-lasting finish and high performance. The finish is vegan.
• Cool iron, or fingerpress.
• Better not to wash.
• Do not use any interfacing with this type of oilskin. We recommend sewing with a denim needle and 100% poly thread.
